American Cannabis Company (OTC: AMMJ), an end-to-end cannabis industry consulting and management firm providing proprietary and preferred products to the industry, recently announced the appointment of Dixie Brands CEO Tripp Keber to its Board of Directors. Mr. Keber will bring his extensive industry background and reach as an independent member of the Board of Directors.

Mr. Keber has been involved with the cannabis industry since its inception in 2009 within the State of Colorado. Currently, he’s involved with several businesses and serves on several industry boards including the Marijuana Policy Project, the Council for Responsible Cannabis Regulation, and the National Cannabis Industry Association – cementing his deep ties within the industry.

Mr. Keber’s role at Dixie Brands Inc. involves everything from developing overall strategy to focusing on licensing, marketing, branding, and expansion efforts. American Cannabis Company plans to continue expanding its Board of Directors with experience from multiple industries in order to provide unique viewpoints for the cannabis space and ultimately help it build long-term shareholder value.

Shares of American Cannabis Company jumped about 5.7% in early trading on Tuesday, November 25, 2014 following the news release.
