Oct 27, 2014 (ACCESSWIRE via COMTEX) — Whitefish, MT / ACCESSWIRE / October 27, 2014 / Cannabis stocks gained ground last week, led by a ~15% recovery in shares of GW Pharmaceuticals plc GWPH, +1.86% MedBox Inc. MDBX, +8.28% shares also rose more than 25%, sending the overall Marijuana Index(TM) significantly higher for the week. Traders will be watching for a continuation of these trends into this week, although a lot may depend on the movements of the larger overall market.

On the regulatory side, the cannabis industry continues to gear up for a series of legalization votes in November. Polls suggest that support for cannabis remains strong, but Colorado’s gubernatorial elections will be closely watched.
