64 per cent of respondents to survey want Canada to legalize marijuana.

It turns out many of our listeners want Canadian politicians to fly the green flag, as our latest online news survey shows the number of voters in favour of legalizing marijuana smoked the opponents.

Bayshore Broadcasting asked if you think marijuana should be legalized in Canada — and 64 per cent of voters gave a green thumbs up — yes.

One respondent feels minor charges for pot possession should be coughed up as a waste of taxpayer dollars.

Meanwhile, the 36 per cent of voters opposed to pot legalization were more vocal.

One opponent claiming to own a business feels pot levels affect the intelligence of the public.

Another respondent feels pot pills would be a healthier alternative to the natural bud.
